Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on Weber BBQ Grill

What type of gas should I buy to use with my new Weber gas BBQ Grill?

The standard regulator which comes fitted to our gas bbq grill is a clip-on 27mm Propane Patio Gas fitment.
The exception to this is the Performer with Gas Ignition, and the Q100 and Q120 models. These come factory fitted with a regulator for disposable gas bottles – these are a Butane/Propane mix, with a screw on valve conforming to EN417.

Where can I find the serial number for my Weber BBQ Grill?

On Weber Charcoal BBQ grill, the serial number is two letters stamped into the lid vent.

On Weber Gas BBQ grill, the serial number will be of the format of 2 letters and several numbers eg. DE01234567. It is on a white sticker on the front of the owner’s manual, it will also be on a white sticker on the barbecue itself:

On Weber Q BBQ grill, the white sticker is on either the underside of one of the fold up tables, or on the back leg of the barbecue.

On Spirit, Genesis and Summit BBQ grill, the white sticker is within the bottom cabinet of the barbecue.
